Awwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeah. I’ve been waiting for a Soldier update in Team Fortress 2 since the updates began…

…and so far, I couldn’t have asked for a better one. It all started with this comic. Soldier and Demoman are friends? Who knew? All I know is that now, I’ll kill any Demoman that strays into my LOS (Line of Sight). That’s right! The WAR is on. At the end of the war, (sometime around Friday) both classes will receive three new weapons. The kicker here is that whichever team has killed more of the other will receive a mysterious fourth weapon, direct from Mann Co.

If you’re completely lost, follow these simple instructions:

0. (OPTIONAL) Watch every single one of these excellent videos. If you don’t do it now, do it eventually.

1. Buy Team Fortress 2, or preferably one of the larger packs, like The Orange Box or the Valve Complete Pack. (Keep in mind, the Valve Complete Pack costs the same as two new PC games, and nets you an astounding 22 games, every single one of which is phenomenal.)

2. Install Team Fortress 2 (at least) with Steam.

3. Join our Steam Group.

4. Put “[TAGJ]” in front of your name, minus the quotation marks.

5. Add one of the group officers to your friends list and send him a message, explaining that you were directed to us by the site.

6. We’ll make sure everything is running smoothly for you, and answer any questions you might have about Steam or Team Fortress 2.

7. Go to your Steam friends list, and if the officer of your choice is playing TF2, click the down arrow by his name and click “Join game”.

8. Play TF2!

Oh, Valve. You do nothing but impress. Now just hurry up with Half-Life 2: Episode 3!
