[...] If you didn’t catch my comrade in arms OriginOfBob’s post, then I’ll catch you up to speed; Activision-Blizzard has decided to cancel LAN support for Starcraft II. Because of this, if you wish to play multiplayer, you are now forced to register a BattleNet account, and play through the net. Hundreds of thousands of players are up in arms about the decision to ditch LAN support, as it was just one of the many highlights of the original Starcraft.
I think the reactions of people regarding the No-LAN announcement gives you can idea how the starcraft community feels.

Blizzard seems to have gotten to greedy since WOW. Starcraft in 3 installments - i was not happy about it but i was willing to accept that. Then the No-Lan announcement came out!! - I think they are purely doing that because they get no royalty fees from the starcraft tournaments in S korea especially because the Lan game is being used for broadcast.

It has nothing todo with piracy…well not in the way most of us are thinking about it.

There is an article about it here - http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft/news/10265-blizzard-vs-kespa-the-ultimate-fight

So as i said before on another post - greed is behind this.

If i buy 2 motor vehciles and start to run competition of some sorts with the vechicles and then later the compition grows into a cultural phenomena does that give the vehcile manufacturer any right to what i have done - i think not.
