It turns out that the staff at Croteam are still going at it after all. When I came across the trailer for Serious Sam HD, which WILL be released for PC (correction from my last post), it sparked a “serious” binge. I know that was a very lame pun, but it was worth it. A while back, a teaser trailer for a game called “Serious Sam Forever” surfaced on the interweb. With a title like that, I immediately thought this was another joke, or a fallen plot for something that could be incredibly awesome, i.e. Duke Nukem Forever. I had shown my good friend Chiwans the trailer for the upcoming Serious Sam HD, in which he introduced me to the Serious Sam Forever trailer….. ON CROTEAM”S WEBSITE. It’s not a fluke, kiddos. Serious Sam Forever is real, in development, AND has a beta on the way.

Croteam has also been working on a new graphics engine; Serious Engine 3. The updated HD effects will be incorporated into The First Encounter HD and Serious Sam Forever.

On August 2, Croteam posted a form on the Serious Sam Forever website to signup for an upcoming multiplayer beta. Well, you’ve got me, Croteam. A release- actually, a projected year for it’s release hasn’t even been announced yet. However, if Croteam has an upcoming beta in the works, one thing is for sure…. Serious Sam will return to take down Mental once more in what could be one of the greatest PC shooter franchise revival of all time.
