It’s hard to believe that the first Megaman was released on the NES in 1987. Now, 22 years and a whopping 115 titles later, Megaman 10 is announced for WiiWare.
Like usual, many people aren’t too happy about the release of Megaman 10 on WiiWare, but keep this in mind; Megaman 9 released as a WiiWare exclusive for quite a while before making the platform leap.
The plot is reminiscent of Megaman X5′s “Sigma Virus” incident, except that it’s now the “Robotenza”… It’s pretty much robot flu. The latest installment also allows players to play as the trademark Blue Bomber, Proto Man, or a yet-to-be-named third character… probably Bass or Zero.
A release date isn’t set, but hopefully the game will release sometime very soon.
On December 16th, the night before the official 22nd anniversary of Megaman, Keiji Inafune will host a webcast where he’ll talk about the series as a whole and hopefully, more about Megaman 10.
