Facebook + FPS = Brave Arms?

It was only a matter of time, I suppose.

Lots of sites have already covered this, but there’s not much information to be had. Besides, “Facebook FPS” sounds like a joke, doesn’t it? You can see a few more pictures at the Brave Arms website, and if you’re actually interested, reserve a screen name. People seem excited about this, but it feels a little sad to me. I will be checking the game out at some point, but I have the lowest of expectations. If you try it out, please post your opinion in the comments.

I look at like this: What’s wrong with the community in real FPS games? Facebook games are about time investment. Why would you want to play a skill-based game with people who would choose a free, social networking-based FPS over something like Counter-Strike? It just doesn’t add up to me.

Things like this and the upcoming Twilight MMO just make me facepalm.

I really cannot fathom playing an FPS on Facebook. I don’t even see the point of them introducing the idea.
