In case you live under a rock, “CutMan Mike” Michael Hill happens to be the driving force behind such games as ZPortal, Ghouls VS Humans and Level Master. His most recent project, Megaman 8-Bit Deathmatch, is a new take on a classic, combining the fun of a free-for-all deathmatch FPS game with the retro quality of the classic 8-bit Megaman series.
Wow 11,111 views. And within the first year! I just want to take this time to thank every single one of you for being a part of it. Even though I have only been here for about 3,000 of them I have watched TAGJ blossom into a beautiful gaming review flower…uh…anyway I just want to thank Eden and Origin for letting me become a part of the team.

There’s scary games, and then there’s watching helplessly in horror as a game delete save files without your doing so. Welcome to the mindtrip that is Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem.
Let’s face it, the Nintendo Wii has always been “hit or miss” since a few months after its launch, but 2010 just may be the year of surprises and new beginnings that the Wii needs…

So, here we are, the first entry into the Retro Corner. I’d say this is a pretty good choice. Before you keep reading though, I’d like to clarify something; the purpose of the Retro Corner isn’t to review a game and give it a rating. The Retro Corner exists to pay homage to the classics that time forgot.
The above (click the picture to see it full-size) is a shot from Friday, January 22nd, during our weekly Friday night TF2 event. This takes place every week on the same server, thanks to our affiliates, theĀ All Originals Server Community! Leading BLU is me, [TAGJ] Origin [AO]. Leading RED is Mr. Wirefly, [TAGJ] Eden [AO]. He and I were the only ones representing TAGJ at that point, though we usually have a much better turnout. Regardless, the screenshot is epic.
Now, to explain the mysterious “TAGC”. It stands for The Astringent Gaming Community, but what is that? Well, let me put it like this…

Torchlight, the new brainchild of the guys up at Runic Games, is an artistic take of the typical “left-click attack, right-click skill” PC RPG. As cool as it looks, does it have what it takes to stand up to its predecessors?
Never heard of Runic? Sure you have, it’s essentially Blizzard North without Blizzard. What’s Blizzard North?! They produced Diablo II.
