-Once again, another tip I got from a friend of mine, and fellow member of “Working Title”.
Much appreciated, Brad.
Well, I don’t really have much to say about this, other than I’m in sheer bewilderment at how many signatures pour in on this thing.
If you didn’t catch my comrade in arms OriginOfBob’s post, then I’ll catch you up to speed; Activision-Blizzard has decided to cancel LAN support for Starcraft II. Because of this, if you wish to play multiplayer, you are now forced to register a BattleNet account, and play through the net. Hundreds of thousands of players are up in arms about the decision to ditch LAN support, as it was just one of the many highlights of the original Starcraft.

All credit and thanks go to my good friend Chiwans-
It turns out that the staff at Croteam are still going at it after all. When I came across the trailer for Serious Sam HD, which WILL be released for PC (correction from my last post), it sparked a “serious” binge. I know that was a very lame pun, but it was worth it. A while back, a teaser trailer for a game called “Serious Sam Forever” surfaced on the interweb. With a title like that, I immediately thought this was another joke, or a fallen plot for something that could be incredibly awesome, i.e. Duke Nukem Forever. I had shown my good friend Chiwans the trailer for the upcoming Serious Sam HD, in which he introduced me to the Serious Sam Forever trailer….. ON CROTEAM”S WEBSITE. It’s not a fluke, kiddos. Serious Sam Forever is real, in development, AND has a beta on the way.

This weekend only: All Half-Life games are 66% off, and the Valve Complete Pack is 10% off.
Now, for those of you who don’t know me: I am a diehard Half-Life fan. (Before long, both Mr. Wirefly and myself will have bios of ourselves up on the site. This should help you guys identify with we, your enigmatic gaming databases.) For reasons I won’t even begin to go into right now, Valve is the undisputed king of single-player FPS games. If you have a PC, and for some reason don’t know what I’m talking about, go buy the first Half-Life right now.

Ah…. nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia. Oh, how I love thee.
If there’s something I love about this subtle shift in today’s world of gaming, it’s that developers like to loiter in “yesterday’s” world of gaming.
The sleeper shooter hit Serious Sam: The First Encounter is about to get a visual high-definition facelift (a la Duke Nukem Atomic + Plutonium Pack). The game is due to be released sometime this fall, but no official date has been set in stone. As of right now, it looks like this is going to be an Xbox Arcade exclusive, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a PC release a few months later. You can watch the debut trailer here.

Well, well, well Capcom, seems like you’ve had another ace up your sleeve, haven’t you? I’m glad that you’ve decided to produce another entry for your “Versus” series, but why did you choose to clash against a universe that the vast majority of people are unfamiliar with?
About 99.999% of you have either heard of or have played a game by Capcom, but for the other .001% that either live under a rock or are Amish (in which case, you wouldn’t even care about this), I have full omnipotent permission to harass you. If you haven’t played or heard of any of following franchises, then GTFO of life right now:
the Street Fighter franchise
Captain Commando
Bionic Commando
Viewtiful Joe
“Versus” series
the Resident Evil series
If you haven’t heard of Megaman by now, I just might punch you through your screen 3 seconds after you read this line. Seriously, there’s ONLY a little over 120 games (including remastered versions, Japan-only releases and compilations) in the Megaman franchise, so nothing too vast and amazing.

Edge recently scored an interview with Chet Faliszek from Valve about the recently announced Left 4 Dead DLC (Downloadable Content), as well as compatibility between L4D and Left 4 Dead 2, coming to PC ans Xbox 360 on November 17th. To clarify, there will almost certainly not be a PS3 version of L4D2.
And because I know how you zombies hate to click links, here are a couple of highlights to whet your appetite for brains…er, knowledge.

Mass Effect – Xbox 360/PC, 2007/2008, Bioware
Story – 5.5/10.0
Gameplay – 4.5/10.0
Design – 8.0/10.0
Control – 7.0/10.0
Sound – 9.5/10.0
Fun Factor – 3.0/10.0
Overall – 6.0/10.0
Mass Effect, oft-lauded as one of the truly great modern RPGs, with a metascore of 91 for the Xbox 360 version and an 89 for the PC port, is not a very good game. Now, I’ve played Mass Effect from start to finish two times. I’ve done just about all of the side quests and explored every last bit of the of the companion character back stories. If you doubt my reasons for disliking it, read on.

There’s some really incredible artwork of something that may or may not be a Steampunk Disney game, codenamed “Epic Mickey“.
Now there’s something I never thought I’d say.

The sequel to Starcraft, which is perhaps the most legendary RTS yet released, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty (If you’re going to watch a Blizzard cinematic, watch it in HD. Come on.) has been officially delayed until the first quarter of next year, to coincide with the launch of Battle.Net 2.0.
As you should be aware, Starcraft is serious business. Especially in South Korea. I have an extensive personal history playing Starcraft, and have been hotly anticipating a sequel since long before its annoucement.

1993 gave us one of the best beat-em-ups of all time; after 16 years, it’s about to get a major overhaul.
For those of you who spent your childhood clearing out foot-soldier infested streets, sporadically yelling “cowabunga”, and wondering why pizza in 25,000,000,000 BC looked the same as in 2100 AD, get ready to go back in time once more with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled.
